Friday morning we got the ORMA out for her check over and touch up before our offshore sessions this year.
Cheers for the early morning help lads, another smooth move.

Scotty Ray view of the red bus at the top of the Athos rig.
She doesn't look so big from up there.

TeamVodafoneSailing shared Auckland to Tauranga yacht race's post.

Not often we are the only boat to finish!

The system went thru and left the fleet a BIG seaway and not much puff.
Luckily we managed to just hang onto the back end of it and have a bit of breeze down the coast.
A shame the rest of the fleet got becalmed off channel island.
Kudos to the 3 boats who stuck it out to the deadline. Not easy conditions.

Trying conditions on the way home too, 3-5 at twa 180. So a long Ol motor sail
A little bit of puff in the gulf allowed for a 18nm sail. With 5 litres of diesel left we got the red bus back in her home by 4am.

Cheers for the hospitality Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club - TYPBC
